Woman Shot Dead in Nuh for Resisting Rape During Robbery Attempt

In a horrific turn of events a couple was working in thier fields in Nuh around 1:30 AM which is the designated electricity supply hours for irrigation, two armed men approached them and initially demanded valuables. After taking away the mobile phone and Rs 3000 , they got frustrated by finding out that the woman was not wearing any jewellery.

The situation turns horrific as two more assailants come up and started harassing the woman, she bravely resisted their attempt to assault and managed to hit one of them and in retaliation one of the assailants shot her in the head. They then threatenend the husband's life but somehow he managed to escape.

An FIR has been registered at Bichhore police station, Nuh and the investigation has been initiated. The police spokesperson stated that the woman’s body has been handed over to the family after completing the required procedures. The complaint specifically notes that the attempt to molest led to the shooting. 

This horrific incident has sparked outrage and fear throughout the region leading to immediate social ramifications. An advisory has been issued by the local Panchayats restricting women’s movement during evening hours even when accompained by male family members.
