Haryana has maintained its position in the prestigious 'Achievers' category in the Logistics Ease Across Different States (LEADS) Survey 2024, conducted by the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade. Union Minister Piyush Goyal presented this recognition in New Delhi, acknowledging the state's remarkable progress in logistics infrastructure and services.
Infrastructure Development led to Improved Connectivity
The state has emerged as a logistics leader through significant investments in world-class infrastructure. Key projects like the Kundli-Manesar-Palwal (KMP) Expressway and the Integrated Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in Nangal Chaudhary have improved connectivity. Haryana's strategic location near the National Capital Region (NCR) has been leveraged effectively to establish itself as a crucial logistics and warehousing center in North India.
Green Logistics Initiatives
Demonstrating its commitment to sustainability, Haryana has launched several green logistics initiatives. The state has implemented progressive policies including the Electric Vehicle Policy 2022 and Vehicle Scrapping and Recycling Facility Promotion Policy 2024. These initiatives promote the use of electric vehicles for goods transport and ensure a cleaner, more sustainable logistics ecosystem.
Workforce Development and Inclusive Growth
Haryana has focused on building a skilled workforce through partnerships with private sector organizations and educational institutions. The state has actively promoted women's participation in the logistics sector, ensuring equal employment opportunities. The implementation of the PM Gati Shakti State Master Plan Portal has streamlined infrastructure planning, making it mandatory for all projects above ₹100 crore to be planned through this platform.
