13-Year-Old Factory Worker Allegedly Gang-Raped in Haryana; Five Booked Under POCSO Act

Factory owner also charged for attempting to suppress the case; Police conduct medical examination and record victim's statement before magistrate as investigation begins.

In a shocking turn of events four factory workers have gang raped a 13 year old girl and filmed the assault at a blanket factory in Haryana. The police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act and other relevant laws against four workers and the factory owner. The accused workers, identified as Guddu, Dinesh, Deepu, and Suraj, originally from Darbhanga, Bihar, were colleagues of the minor victim at a local blanket factory.

The Incident

According to the complaint filed by the victim's father, three of the accused forcibly took his daughter to a secluded area within the factory premises on December 21 and sexually assaulted her. One of the perpetrators allegedly recorded the assault on video. 

Official Response

Station House Officer SI Arvind Kumar and Woman ASI Geeta confirmed that the victim has undergone a medical examination at the civil hospital and her statement has been recorded before a magistrate. "We have registered a case under various sections including POCSO Act, and arrests will be made soon," SI Kumar stated.

Factory Owner Tried to suppress the Incident

The victim's family alleged that when they approached the factory owner with their complaint, he attempted to suppress the matter instead of taking appropriate action. The owner has subsequently been included in the FIR for allegedly trying to conceal the crime.

Legal Proceedings and Child Labour Dimension

The police have initiated a comprehensive investigation into the case. The accused are facing charges under multiple sections of the Indian Penal Code along with the POCSO Act, which carries strict penalties for crimes against minors.

The incident has also raised serious questions about the employment of minors in factories, highlighting the need for stricter enforcement of child labor laws and workplace safety regulations. 

The police have assured swift action in apprehending the accused while ensuring proper legal procedures are followed to protect the victim's rights and privacy.
