The story of three generations of women from a small Haryana village demonstrates remarkable progress in women's empowerment. While 107-year-old Rambai continues to win international athletic medals, her daughter Sharmila drives a DTC bus in Delhi's busy streets, and granddaughter Jayenith Gehlawat is on track to become a commercial pilot.
Jayenith 's Story
Jayenith Gehlawat, currently pursuing an MBA degree through distance learning, has completed her B.Sc. from Banasthali Vidyapith University, Rajasthan. Her journey is very impressive as she has already completed 138 hours of flight time and require just 62 more hours to complete her training. Upon completion, she'll be eligible for positions as either a commercial pilot or flight instructor.
The family's accomplishments are particularly noteworthy, with mother Sharmila Gehlawat having earned over 200 medals in sports before becoming a DTC bus driver. Adding to this legacy, grandmother Rambai began her athletic career at 104 and has already secured over 100 medals, including national and international recognition, within just three years.
The inspiring story of Rambai, Sharmila, and Jayenith Gehlawat serves as a shining testament to the power of women's empowerment, demonstrating that with determination and hard work, women from all walks of life can break barriers, achieve greatness, and create a lasting legacy.
