Woman's Decomposed Body Found in Panipat Drain, Tattoos Could Help in Identity

Nude body of young woman discovered with distinctive English text tattoo on fingers and star marking, raising suspicions of foul play as police launch multi-district search for identification.

A decomposed body of a woman aged between 20-25 years was found in a drain along the Bhainswala Road in Panipat. Local passersby spotted the body floating face-down in the drain around noon on Monday. Police immediately called Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) team to the scene. The body was found completely unclothed, raising suspicions of possible sexual assault. The advanced state of decomposition suggests death occurred several days ago.

Identification Marks on the Body

The investigation focuses on unique physical markers on the body of the woman. English text ANSH tattooed on the right hand fingers while star tattoo marked on the left hand. These distinctive features could be crucial for identification of the body as the Police have already circulated photos to neighboring districts. Based on physical characteristics of the body woman seems to be between 20-25 years old. 

Police Response and Current Actions 

Joint investigation has been launched with FSL team, and the body has been transferred to Civil Hospital mortuary via Mahakal Jan Seva Dal ambulance. The Photos of the tattos of the victim have been circulated to all police stations within the district and extended the search to neighboring districts for possible missing person matches.

The post-mortem examination of the deceased is currently pending, awaiting identification of the individual. The investigation continues to explore possible criminal angles surrounding the circumstances of death.
