7 Haryana Cities Set to Become Smart Surveillance Hubs with 7000 CCTVs

The Urban Local Body (ULB) Department of Haryana is making significant strides in transforming the state's urban landscape through a cutting-edge surveillance and management project. Seven major cities have been selected for the Integrated Command and Control Center (ICCC) initiative, marking a crucial step towards creating smarter, safer urban spaces. 

Massive Investment in Urban Infrastructure

Hisar stands out as a flagship project in this ambitious plan, with a massive investment of 150 crore rupees dedicated to establishing a comprehensive urban monitoring system. The city will be equipped with 1,000 CCTV cameras strategically placed to cover every critical urban space. 

Comprehensive Surveillance Strategy

The ICCC project will provide comprehensive coverage, monitoring:

  • Every street intersection
  • Educational institutions
  • Religious places
  • Market areas
  • Main roads
  • Water supply systems
  • Security infrastructure 

Technology-Driven Urban Management

The project promises nine key advantages:

  1. Advanced traffic management
  2. Continuous citizen service monitoring
  3. Medical resource tracking
  4. Crime prevention and monitoring
  5. AI-based data correlation
  6. Event management alerts
  7. Air and water quality monitoring
  8. Waste management tracking
  9. Citizen feedback application 

Technical Collaboration and Implementation

A two-member consultant team from a Gurugram agency visited Hisar Municipal Corporation to finalize the Detailed Project Report (DPR). They conducted an extensive 2.5-hour meeting with engineers from four critical departments:

  • Municipal Corporation
  • Public Health Department
  • Police Department
  • Haryana Urban Development Authority 

The proposed command center might be developed in Sector 13's community center, demonstrating meticulous planning and strategic location selection.

This initiative represents a significant leap towards transforming Haryana into a technologically advanced, secure, and efficiently managed state. By leveraging cutting-edge surveillance and management technologies, these seven cities are set to become models of modern urban governance.
