In a significant visit to the Jat Educational Institution in Hisar, Chief Minister Nayab Saini became the first CM to attend the institution's event in 21 years. The centenary celebration saw the institution's president, Dilbag Poonia, honoring the CM with a traditional turban. This historic institution, established in 1924, has played a crucial role in shaping education in Haryana since the British era, when Sir Chhotu Ram helped establish its first classes in 1925.

Educational Reforms and Employment Promises

During his address, CM Saini made several ambitious announcements, including the implementation of a new education policy by 2025, making Haryana the first state in India to do so. He promised permanent employment for 200,000 young people and outlined plans to make Haryana's youth skilled by 2030. The government is also facilitating passport services within colleges to support students pursuing international education opportunities.

Cultural Heritage and Modern Vision

The institution's journey from its humble beginnings to its centenary celebration reflects the evolution of education in Haryana. Founded by 13 prominent members of the Jat community, the institution received its foundation stone from Punjab's then-Governor Sir William Malcolm Hailey in 1926. Seth Chhajju Ram's contribution, dedicating the school building in memory of his son Adit Kumar in 1928, remains a testament to the community's commitment to education.

Building Bridges with the Jat Community

The CM's visit holds political significance as it demonstrates the government's efforts to strengthen ties with the Jat community, which comprises 22.2% of Haryana's voters. The community's influence spans across 35 assembly seats in regions known as 'Jatland', including Rohtak, Sonipat, Kaithal, and other districts.

This historic visit not only commemorates a century of educational excellence but also signals the government's commitment to modernizing education while preserving cultural heritage. The CM's promises of institutional support along with broader educational reforms, suggest a comprehensive approach to advancing education in Haryana while strengthening community bonds.
