In a deeply concerning development, Gurugram Police have launched a thorough investigation into alleged molestation of a three-year-old girl at a prominent playschool in the city. Police Commissioner Vikas Kumar Arora has constituted a Special Investigation Team (SIT) to handle this sensitive case, underlining the authorities' commitment to swift action in child safety matters.

The incident came to attention on October 28 when the young girl, after interacting with a delivery person who touched her hair, opened up to her mother about a previous "bad touch" incident at her playschool. While the child was unable to identify the perpetrator or provide specific details about when or where within the school premises the incident occurred, authorities are treating the matter with utmost seriousness.

Family members have taken to protesting outside the playschool, demanding immediate action and arrest of the responsible individual. The police have registered a case under the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences (POCSO) Act at Sadar Police Station, marking the beginning of formal legal proceedings.

Police spokesperson Sandeep Kumar confirmed that investigators are exploring all possible angles, given the sensitive nature of the case and the young age of the victim. The playschool's administration has yet to issue any statement regarding the allegations, and attempts to reach the principal have been unsuccessful.

The SIT's formation signals the gravity with which local law enforcement is treating this case, particularly given the vulnerability of the victim and the setting of the alleged incident. Child safety experts emphasize the importance of creating secure educational environments and teaching children about personal safety from an early age.
