
The Haryana Government has initiated a comprehensive administrative reorganization by transferring 27 Indian Administrative Service (IAS) officers across the state, demonstrating its commitment to dynamic governance and efficient administration.
In a significant move, CG Rajni Kaanthan has been appointed as Secretary of the Finance Department, moving from their previous role as Director General of Industries and Commerce. The Industries and Commerce department will now be headed by Yash Garg, who previously served as the Deputy Commissioner of Panchkula.
Gurugram's administrative landscape sees notable changes with Ashok Kumar Garg taking over as both Municipal Commissioner and Commissioner of Municipal Corporation Gurugram. The city's leadership is further strengthened by the appointment of Ajay Kumar as the new Deputy Commissioner, who transfers from his previous position in Rohtak.
Among other key appointments, Monika Gupta, who served as Deputy Commissioner of Mahendragarh, will now lead the administration in Panchkula. The Rohtak district receives additional support with Direndra Khadgata, Special Secretary of Environment, Forests and Wildlife, taking on the supplementary responsibility as Deputy Commissioner.
"These transfers are part of our ongoing efforts to enhance administrative efficiency and ensure good governance across Haryana," a senior government official stated. The transfers took immediate effect following the government's order.
The reshuffle also brings changes to specialized bodies, with Shakti Singh being appointed as the Managing Director of the Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills, while Rahul Narwal takes charge as the Managing Director of CONFED.
Several other districts, including Kurukshetra, Jhajjar, Charkhi Dadri, and Kaithal, have received new Deputy Commissioners, ensuring fresh administrative perspectives across the state.
