German Leaders Show Strong Interest in Haryana's Growth Story
A high-level German delegation, including mayors from Kelsterbach, Rüsselsheim, and Raunheim, along with Frankfurt MP Rahul Kumar, met with Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini at his residence in Chandigarh on Wednesday. The meeting focused on exploring collaborative opportunities between Haryana and Germany in various sectors, including automotive, pharmaceuticals, education, skill development, and climate change initiatives.
Haryana's Strategic Advantages Highlighted
Chief Minister Saini emphasized Haryana's position as a leading state despite its relatively small population. "Although we are small in size, our development trajectory has been remarkable," said Saini. He detailed the state's commitment to attracting investors through its "Go Global" initiative and highlighted Haryana's strategic location surrounding Delhi on three sides, which provides significant advantages for business development.
State's Impressive Achievement Portfolio
The Chief Minister proudly shared Haryana's achievements, including:
- Top position in the Export Preparedness Index
- First rank in Consumer Expenditure and Modern Retail with 26% participation
- Leading position in Education Index for incremental performance
- Significant progress in sectors like agriculture, automobiles, IT, textiles, pharmaceuticals, and logistics.
Future Development Projects Showcased
Rajesh Khullar, Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, presented various ongoing and upcoming projects, including:
- KMP Global Corridor
- Proposed Global City in Gurugram
- Multi-Modal Logistics Hub in Narnaul
- Various infrastructure development initiatives
The delegation expressed keen interest in these projects and discussed potential areas for German investment in the state.
