Commemorating Veer Bal Diwas

Honouring the Sacrifices of Sahibzadas in Kurukshetra

In a poignant celebration dedicated to the valour and sacrifices of the Sahibzadas of Sarbansdani Shri Guru Gobind Singh Ji Maharaj, Veer Bal Diwas was observed at Guru Sahib Reh Chhathi Patshahi in Kurukshetra. The event witnessed the participation of Haryana State President Sonia Gandhi, Minister Sandeep Singh, BJP representatives, and Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar.

Commencing the memorial camp in the revered presence of Guru Granth Sahib Ji Maharaj, CM Manohar Lal initiated the religious conclave. The proceedings included the commencement of the Shri Akhand Path, a continuous reading of the holy scripture. The religious function drew the participation of Sikh Sangat from across the state, creating an atmosphere of spiritual fervour.

Veer Bal Diwas, celebrating the bravery of Baba Zorawar Singh and Baba Sabbath Singh, who embraced martyrdom at the tender ages of seven to nine, holds significant cultural and historical importance. Last year, the government recognized their sacrifice, and this year, Veer Bal Diwas is commemorated at Swami Chhathi Patshahi in Kurukshetra. The event garnered immense enthusiasm from the Sikh Sangat.

Kawaljit Singh Ajrana, the founder of Haryana Sikh Gurdwara, expressed gratitude for the Chief Minister's efforts in organising this meaningful Children's Day. He highlighted the courage exhibited by the young Sahibzadas, emphasising the message conveyed by the Prime Minister and Chief Minister to draw inspiration from their sacrifices.

The Kurukshetra administration, in collaboration with the Haryana Sikh Gurujan Parbandhak Committee, ensured meticulous planning for the Chief Minister's visit. All departments, ranging from security measures to the grand execution of the program, demonstrated thorough preparedness. The Sikh Sangat from across the state eagerly participated in this significant event, marking a collective tribute to the legacy of the Sahibzadas.

The commemoration of Veer Bal Diwas in Kurukshetra stands as a testament to the resilience and sacrifice of the young warriors, inspiring generations to come.
