Rajya Sabha MP Ramchandra Jangra found himself in a life-threatening situation in Mahm, Rohtak district, as he was returning from Sirsa after attending the nomination filing of a party candidate.
The Dangerous Pursuit
According to Jangra's security personnel, the incident unfolded around 8 PM when the MP's vehicle reached the old bus stand in Mahm. As the area was congested with traffic, Jangra's gunman, Hardeep Singh, stepped out to help clear the jam. It was then that he noticed a suspicious truck parked in the middle of the road.
When approached, the truck driver allegedly behaved aggressively, threatening to run over anyone who got in his way. As soon as Jangra's vehicle managed to pass through the traffic, the truck driver began an aggressive pursuit, attempting to collide with the MP's car.
A Close Call
The situation became increasingly dangerous as the truck followed Jangra's vehicle all the way to his residence. The MP's driver and security team had to drive skillfully to evade the pursuing truck. Even as Jangra entered his house, the truck driver continued to linger nearby, only fleeing when the security personnel attempted to confront him.
Police Investigation Underway
Mahm Police Station in-charge Satyapal has confirmed that a complaint has been registered regarding the incident. The police are treating the matter with utmost seriousness and have launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the truck driver. As of now, the driver remains at large, but authorities are confident of making progress in the case soon.
