The Supreme Court of India is going to look into some strong words said by a judge from a lower court. This judge, Justice Rajbir Sehrawat from the Punjab and Haryana High Court, wrote things that questioned how the Supreme Court works.

On Wednesday, the five most important judges of the Supreme Court will meet to talk about this. The Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, will lead this meeting.

What happened was that Justice Sehrawat was handling a case in his court. The Supreme Court told him to stop working on part of that case. This made Justice Sehrawat upset. He wrote in his court order on July 17 that he didn't think the Supreme Court should do this.

Justice Sehrawat said some big things. He said the Supreme Court sometimes acts like it's more powerful than it really is. He also said that the Supreme Court treats high courts like they're less important than they should be. The judge explained that high courts are not below the Supreme Court. He said the Supreme Court shouldn't tell high courts what to do with their cases all the time. He compared it to how a high court doesn't tell every little thing to the smallest courts under it.

This disagreement between courts is very unusual. It's why the Supreme Court is taking it so seriously. They want to talk about it and decide what to do. The Haryana Story is closely following this story.

After Justice Sehrawat said these things, the head of his court, the Chief Justice, made a change. On August 5, they moved some cases away from Justice Sehrawat's court to another judge's court. This event shows that even in the legal system, there can be different opinions and conflicts. It will be interesting to see what the Supreme Court decides after their special meeting.
