AAP Announces "Kejriwal's 5 Guarantees" for Haryana Assembly Elections

The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has made a bold move in Haryana's political landscape by announcing "Kejriwal's 5 Guarantees" for the upcoming state assembly elections. These promises, unveiled by Sunita Kejriwal, wife of AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal, in Panchkula, aim to address key issues faced by Haryana's residents and replicate the party's governance model from Delhi and Punjab. 

Free Electricity and Bill Waiver

The first guarantee promises 24-hour free electricity to Haryana residents. AAP plans to waive off all outstanding domestic electricity bills, similar to what they've done in Delhi and Punjab. The party also commits to ending power cuts in the state, ensuring a consistent electricity supply. 

Improved Healthcare Access 

Under the second guarantee, AAP pledges to provide good quality, free healthcare to all Haryana residents. The party plans to open mohalla (neighborhood) clinics in every village and urban area, following the Delhi model. They also promise to revamp existing government hospitals and build new ones. All medical treatments, tests, and medicines will be provided free of charge, regardless of the severity of the illness. 

Quality Education for All 

The third guarantee focuses on providing excellent, free education. AAP aims to eliminate the "education mafia" and improve government schools to such an extent that parents will prefer them over private institutions. The party also promises to regulate private schools to prevent unjustified fee hikes. 

Monthly Allowance for Women 

In a significant move to support women, AAP's fourth guarantee promises a monthly allowance of 1,000 rupees to all mothers and sisters in Haryana. This initiative aims to provide financial support and promote women's empowerment in the state. 

Job Opportunities for Youth

The final guarantee addresses unemployment. AAP commits to creating job opportunities for every unemployed youth in Haryana. The party cites its track record in Punjab, where they claim to have provided 45,000 government jobs and over 300,000 private sector jobs in just two years. Similarly, in Delhi, they mention creating 250,000 government jobs and facilitating over 1.2 million private sector jobs. 

AAP's Electoral Strategy 

AAP has decided to contest the Haryana Assembly elections independently, departing from its alliance with Congress in the recent Lok Sabha elections. The party's slogan for the state elections is "Badlenge Haryana ka haal - Ab layenge Kejriwal" (We'll change Haryana's condition - Now we'll bring Kejriwal).

Despite not winning any Lok Sabha seats in Haryana, AAP sees potential for growth in the state. The party narrowly lost the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat by about 30,000 votes, indicating some level of support among voters.

As Haryana gears up for the assembly elections, AAP's "5 Guarantees" have set the stage for an interesting political battle. The party hopes to replicate its success from Delhi and Punjab, challenging the established players in Haryana's political arena. Whether these promises will resonate with Haryana's voters and translate into electoral success remains to be seen.
