Gurgaon, often called the "Millennium City," is facing some big problems. The city's Member of Parliament (MP), Rao Inderjit Singh, is not happy about it. He recently had a meeting with important city officials to talk about these issues.
Singh won the recent election, but it was closer than he expected. Many people think this is because voters are upset about the city's problems. Now, Singh wants things to change fast.
In the meeting, Singh told the officials they have one week to come up with good plans to fix three main problems: water supply, electricity, and keeping the city clean. He said, "This is Millennium City. It cannot be turned into a 'kuragram' (village of garbage)."
Singh is worried that if these problems don't get fixed, people might not want to vote in the next election in October. He reminded the officials that having clean water, reliable power, and a tidy city is something people have a right to expect.
The MP also talked about other issues. He wants to make sure the city doesn't flood during the rainy season. He asked why it took so long to change the company that handles trash collection. Singh warned the officials that he would be watching their progress closely.
To show he's serious about helping, Singh told people they can contact him directly about any city problems, even through email or social media. He promised to try to solve these issues quickly. Singh hopes that by fixing these problems, Gurgaon can live up to its "Millennium City" name and keep voters happy for future elections.
