Kiran Choudhry, Congress leader and MLA from Tosham, has dropped a bombshell on her party with her explosive remarks regarding the Congress's future in Haryana. Expressing her disappointment with the ticket allocation process for the recently concluded Lok Sabha elections, Choudhry asserted that the Congress could have won more seats if the in-charge, Deepak Babaria, had ensured better ticket distribution.

"This is true that the Congress could have won more seats in the Lok Sabha had the Congress in-charge Deepak Babaria ensured better ticket allocation," Choudhry said in an interaction with the media. Her remarks come amidst allegations of sabotage leveled against her by fellow Congress MLA Rao Dan Singh from Bhiwani-Mahendragarh.

Without naming former Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Choudhry accused some leaders of harping on "me and mine" during the campaign and projecting themselves as chief ministerial candidates, ultimately harming the party's prospects. "Some leaders have been trying to finish off my political career," she added, hinting at internal rifts within the party's state unit.

Choudhry's criticism extended to the ticket distribution process, claiming that the Congress could have won two more seats – Gurgaon and Bhiwani-Mahendergarh – if tickets were allotted on merit. "The party would have won Gurgaon and Bhiwani-Mahendergarh seats if tickets were distributed based on merits," she said, alleging that some leaders were using tactics to weaken the influence of other leaders in the party.

In a surprising move, Choudhry voiced her support for Kumari Selja's potential bid for the chief ministerial post. "Selja is the perfect choice for the chief minister's post if the Congress is voted to power in the assembly polls," she said, praising Selja's illustrious career and achievements. Choudhry further accused some leaders of working solely to adjust their "incapable sons," an apparent jab at the dynastic politics prevalent in the state.

Choudhry's remarks have sent shockwaves through the Congress ranks, with many questioning the timing and severity of her criticism. As the party surrounds with internal divisions and leadership challenges, the future of the Congress in Haryana hangs in the balance, with Kiran Choudhry's statements adding fuel to the fire.
