Burning Bus Turns Pilgrimage into Nightmare; Leaves Families Sad in Nuh

Flames Burn Bus, Taking Precious Lives

In a very sad incident, a tourist bus carrying around 60 passengers from Punjab caught fire on the KMP road near Dhulawat village in Nuh district, Haryana, early Saturday morning. The cause of the fire is thought to be a problem in the AC box, but investigations are ongoing. Nine people, including five women and a 12-year-old girl, were tragically burned to death, while 17 others were hurt.

A Brave Sacrifice Amidst the Flames

Among the dead was 32-year-old Gautam Sharma from Hoshiarpur, who showed great bravery in the face of the fire. Eyewitnesses say that Gautam first saved 12 passengers from the burning bus, risking his own life. However, when he went back to save another pilgrim, a blast happened, trapping him inside the burning vehicle, ultimately causing his death. 

Families Gripped by Sadness and Disbelief

The tragedy has brought great sadness to the city of Hoshiarpur, as six of the dead were from the region. Families and loved ones were left devastated upon learning of the horrible incident. Rakesh Sharma, the father of Gautam and Shashi Sharma, had been leading pilgrimages for nearly two decades. This year's journey, which began on May 10, turned into an unimaginable nightmare for the family. 

Authorities Respond, Investigation Ongoing

A case has been filed against the bus driver, who managed to run away from the accident site. The Nuh Deputy Commissioner, Dhirendra Khadgata, has appointed a team to investigate the cause of the fire, while Tauru SDM Sanjeev Kumar has been appointed to look into the incident. Authorities are working to identify the remaining victims and provide necessary help to the injured. 

The tragic bus fire in Nuh has left families and communities in Punjab and Haryana dealing with unimaginable sadness and loss. As authorities work to understand the circumstances surrounding the incident, the brave sacrifice of Gautam Sharma serves as a reminder of the courage and selflessness that can emerge even in the darkest of moments.
