In a campaign speech, former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar unleashed a blistering assault on the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) leaders, accusing them of betraying the iconic social activist Anna Hazare, who spearheaded the Jan Lokpal Bill movement. Khattar's remarks came during a 'Vijay Sankalp' rally in Cheeka, where he was campaigning for BJP candidate Naveen Jindal, who is contesting the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha constituency against INDIA bloc candidate and AAP state president Sushil Gupta.

"AAP leaders are the biggest scammers in the world as they have betrayed even Anna Hazare," Khattar declared. His comments were met with loud applause from the gathered crowd. Furthermore, Khattar dismissed the Opposition's claims that the BJP would alter the Constitution if elected to power. "These are all lies. Even Dr. BR Ambedkar cannot change the Constitution," he asserted, reaffirming his party's commitment to preserving the nation's foundational document.

The former CM's remarks came as a direct response to the Opposition's allegations that the BJP harbours intentions to modify the Constitution, a claim that has sparked widespread debate and concern among various political circles.

Khattar's scathing attack extended to the Congress party as well, accusing them of being "frustrated" due to the extensive development works carried out by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He drew parallels between the Gandhis and the Hoodas, stating, "The mother-son duo (Sonia Gandhi-Rahul Gandhi) is contesting for the 'chair' in Delhi, while the father-son duo (Bhupinder Singh Hooda-Deepender Hooda) is contesting in Haryana."

During the rally, BJP candidate Naveen Jindal addressed the gathering, pledging to focus on several developmental goals for the Guhla Cheeka area, including education, health, cold storage facilities, food processing units, and animal husbandry. He also promised to establish a skill training center for the local youth.

Meanwhile, at another 'Vijay Sankalp' rally in Madhosinghana village of the Ellenabad constituency, Khattar praised Prime Minister Modi's decision-making process, asserting that he never rushed into decisions but carefully considered each move. He described Modi's decisions as final, adding that once the Prime Minister had made up his mind, he did not look back.

Khattar further lauded Modi for working tirelessly in the nation's interest, claiming that the Prime Minister had never acted for personal gain or the benefit of his family. The former CM also reflected on his long-standing connection with the Ellenabad constituency, stating that he had been visiting the area since 1990 and was familiar with every street and village within its boundaries.

However, the rally was not without incident, as a group of farmers was briefly detained by the Kaithal police while enroute to the venue. The farmers alleged that they were stopped by the police to prevent them from questioning Khattar. They were eventually released after a short period.
