In a bid to secure support for the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) candidate Ranjit Chautala from the Hisar Lok Sabha constituency, Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Saini reached out to party leader Kuldeep Bishnoi and his son Bhavya Bishnoi on Thursday. The meeting took place at the Bishnois' residence in New Delhi.
Reports suggest that Kuldeep Bishnoi, who wields significant influence in some pockets of the Hisar Lok Sabha seat, particularly in the Adampur Assembly constituency represented by his son Bhavya, had been keeping a distance from the election campaign. This was allegedly because the party did not grant a ticket to Bhavya, ignoring the legacy of his late grandfather and former Chief Minister Bhajan Lal.
After the meeting, Chief Minister Saini acknowledged that there had been extensive discussions regarding the Hisar Lok Sabha seat. Kuldeep Bishnoi, on the other hand, stated, "There's no resentment; the Chief Minister didn't come to persuade me. We will campaign for party candidates in the Hisar Lok Sabha seat and other constituencies." He further added that people don't take the Congress party seriously as it has no future.
In a social media post, Kuldeep Bishnoi shared, "Haryana's honourable Chief Minister Nayab Saini and organisation secretary Surendra Poonia arrived at the Delhi residence today. They engaged in extensive and positive discussions on various topics, including the Lok Sabha elections."

The Chief Minister, while acknowledging his visit to Kuldeep's house for breakfast, expressed confidence that the Congress would lose all 10 seats in Haryana, which is why its leaders are shying away from contesting the election.
Reports also suggest that the Chief Minister extended an invitation to Kuldeep Bishnoi to attend the BJP's rally in Hisar on April 29. The ticket distribution for the Hisar Lok Sabha seat had been a contentious issue. While Kuldeep Bishnoi was reportedly seeking a ticket for his son Bhavya, former Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar insisted on fielding Ranjit Chautala, an independent MLA from Rania in Sirsa who had extended support to the BJP government after it secured 40 seats in the 90-member House.
Ranjit Chautala had joined the BJP just a few hours before being declared the party's candidate from Hisar on March 24, along with former Congress MP Naveen Jindal, who was named the candidate for the Kurukshetra Lok Sabha seat.
