Khattar's Silence on Digvijay Chautala's Statements

Manohar Lal Khattar, the former Chief Minister of Haryana and the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) candidate for the Karnal Lok Sabha seat, refused to comment on the recent statements made by Digvijay Chautala, the general secretary of the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP). Khattar stated that Chautala wants to give importance to this issue, and he does not wish to respond or make any remarks.

The Controversy Surrounding Dushyant Chautala

The controversy revolves around the allegations of corruption levelled against Dushyant Chautala, the former Deputy Chief Minister of Haryana and the leader of the JJP. Both the current Chief Minister, Manohar Lal Khattar, and Nayab Singh Saini, the former CM, had called for an investigation into these allegations against Dushyant Chautala. In response, Digvijay Chautala, Dushyant's brother, questioned the Chief Minister and suggested that an investigation should also be conducted into the alleged mafia activities in Narnaungadh, including the sand and gravel mafias operating in the area.

Khattar's Previous Stance on Dushyant Chautala

Earlier, during a media interaction in Rewari's Kosli, Manohar Lal Khattar had stated that if Dushyant Chautala is found guilty, he will not be pardoned. Khattar emphasised that action would be taken against anyone found guilty, and the innocent need not worry. "Whenever allegations are made against anyone, we first verify the claims of the accuser. We also investigate the person against whom the allegations are made. The guilty will not be spared, and the innocent will not be harmed," Khattar had said.

The JJP-BJP Alliance in Haryana

It is worth noting that the BJP and the JJP, led by Dushyant Chautala, formed an alliance and governed Haryana for four and a half years. The current situation highlights the tensions within this alliance, as allegations and counter-allegations emerge. As the political dynamics in Haryana continue to unfold, all eyes are on how the various parties and leaders handle these controversies and maintain stability in the state's governance.
