YouTube Sensation Elvish Yadav Arrested in Snake Venom Case

Popular YouTuber and reality show winner Elvish Yadav found himself in legal trouble as Noida Police arrested him in connection with a probe into the suspected use of snake venom as a recreational drug at a rave party held four months ago. 

Yadav, aged 26, was produced in a special court in Surajpur, where he was remanded to 14-day judicial custody. The arrest came following his implication in an FIR filed at Noida’s Sector 49 police station on November 3, along with five others, identified as snake charmers.

The case involves serious charges under the Wildlife Protection Act, 1972, and sections 120B, 284, and 289 of the Indian Penal Code (IPC), coupled with provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.

Noida Police stated that evidence linking Yadav to the NDPS Act was discovered during the investigation, with samples collected during the probe confirming the presence of snake venom, as confirmed by a forensic laboratory.

While five other accused snake charmers were previously arrested and released on bail, Yadav’s arrest sheds light on the severity of the allegations against him. The incident has sparked controversy, drawing attention to the use of unconventional substances at social gatherings and raising concerns about public safety and wildlife protection.
