Railways Enhance Coach Capacity in 10 Trains Passing Through Haryana Ahead of Festive Season

Boosting Train Capacity for Festive Rush: Routes Get Temporary Expansion

In a move aimed at improving passenger convenience during the festive season, the Indian Railways has decided to temporarily increase the coach capacity in 10 trains passing through Haryana. The decision, announced by the Chief Public Relations Officer of Northern Railways, Captain Shashi Kiran, comes in view of the anticipated surge in passenger traffic during the festive period between March and April.

The augmentation of coach capacity has been implemented across various categories of trains:

  1. Train No. 22471/22472, Bikaner-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Bikaner Express, will witness an increase in the number of Second AC and Third AC coaches from Bikaner to Delhi Sarai Rohilla from March 1 to March 31, and from Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Bikaner from March 3 to April 2.
  2. Train No. 20473/20474, Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Udaipur City-Delhi Sarai Rohilla Express, will see a temporary increase in Second AC and Third AC coaches from Delhi Sarai Rohilla to Udaipur City from March 1 to March 31, and from Udaipur City to Delhi Sarai Rohilla from March 2 to April 1.
  3. Train No. 22475/22476, Hisar-Coimbatore-Hisar Express, will have additional Second AC coaches from Hisar to Coimbatore from March 6 to March 27, and from Coimbatore to Hisar from March 9 to March 30.
  4. Train No. 19613/19612, Ajmer-Amritsar-Ajmer Express, and Train No. 19611/19614, Ajmer-Amritsar-Ajmer Express, will witness an increase in the number of Third AC and Second Sleeper coaches from Ajmer to Amritsar and vice versa, respectively, from March 2 to March 30 and from March 3 to March 31.
  5. Train No. 12065/12066, Ajmer-Delhi Sarai Rohilla-Ajmer Shatabdi Express, will experience enhanced capacity with additional Second Chair Car and one Executive Class coaches from March 1 to March 30.
  6. Train No. 19701/19702, Jaipur-Delhi Cantt-Jaipur Express, will have increased Third AC and Second Sleeper coaches from Jaipur to Delhi Cantt from March 1 to March 31, and from Delhi Cantt to Jaipur from March 3 to April 2.
  7. Train No. 20409/20410, Delhi Cantt-Bathinda-Delhi Cantt Express, will see additional Third AC and Second Sleeper coaches from March 2 to April 1. 
  8. Train No. 12482/12481, Sri Ganganagar-Delhi-Sri Ganganagar Express, and Train No. 14731/14732, Delhi-Bhatinda-Delhi Express, will both have increased capacity in the Third General coaches from their respective starting stations to the terminating stations during the specified dates.

The decision to augment coach capacity aims to accommodate the anticipated increase in passenger traffic during the festive season and ensure a comfortable travel experience for passengers travelling through Haryana.
