Central University of Haryana (CUH), Mahendragarh, has introduced a two-credit enhanced course on Valmiki Ramayana for undergraduate and postgraduate students. The program, initiated by the Physics and Astrophysics department, aims to develop students' understanding of Ramayana and its significance, incorporating valuable insights for various disciplines.

The university's Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Tankeshwar Kumar, emphasised the course's goal to sensitise students towards scientific evidence within Valmiki Ramayana and familiarise them with its relevance in contemporary contexts across science, humanities, and other fields. Titled "Scientific Evidences in Valmiki Ramayana," the course seeks to bridge traditional Indian knowledge with modern academic perspectives, providing students with a comprehensive understanding of scientific, cultural, and historical aspects associated with Ramayana.

The curriculum, designed as a qualifying nature program, covers astronomical content, scientific patterns in cultural artefacts and traditions, scientific relevance of environmental references, geographic and scientific evidence related to Ram Setu, and other pertinent subjects. By integrating traditional knowledge with scientific evidence, the program aims to establish the utility of Ramayana in the dissemination of Indian wisdom, ensuring a unique and unparalleled contribution to scientific discourse.
