Bahadurgarh's Riddhi Joshi has made Haryana proud by winning three gold medals at the 26th Junior and Sub-Junior National Para Swimming Championship 2026 held in Bengaluru.
Representing Champions Aquatic Academy in HL City, Bahadurgarh, Riddhi delivered an outstanding performance during the championship, which was held from June 8 to June 10 at Kadugodi, Bengaluru.
Competing in the S-10 category, she secured her first gold medal in the 50-metre freestyle event by clocking an impressive 33.00 seconds. She followed it up with another gold in the 50-metre backstroke with a timing of 38.00 seconds and completed her remarkable campaign by winning the 100-metre backstroke in 1 minute 22 seconds.
After returning home with her medals, Riddhi received a warm welcome at Champions Aquatic Academy. Haryana Olympic Association and Swimming Federation of India Vice-President Anil Khatri congratulated the young swimmer and praised her dedication and hard work.
Speaking on the occasion, Khatri said the achievement reflected the commitment of both the athlete and her coach and highlighted the growing sporting culture in Haryana. He expressed confidence that Riddhi has a bright future ahead and will continue to bring laurels to the state and the country.
Academy coach Sai Dileep Jadhav and other dignitaries also felicitated the champion swimmer for her exceptional performance.
Riddhi's success adds another milestone to Haryana's strong sporting legacy and serves as an inspiration for aspiring para athletes across the country.
