In light of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony of Lord Ram in Ayodhya, Haryana's Chief Minister Manohar Lal announced a dry day in the state, ensuring the closure of liquor shops on the auspicious occasion. Additionally, during the Pran Pratishtha event, a live telecast of a two-hour program will be broadcasted in schools across the state.

On Monday, Home Minister Anil Vij initiated a cleanliness drive at the Shiv Mandir in Ambala, followed by an appeal to the public to participate in maintaining the cleanliness of temples and avoiding meat and alcohol during this period. The minister stressed the importance of adopting a sattvic diet for a serene atmosphere, encouraging people to contribute to temple cleanliness and abstain from non-vegetarian food and alcohol.

Furthermore, on Sunday evening, a bhajan sandhya (musical devotional evening) was organized at the Chief Minister's residence in Chandigarh, featuring CM Manohar Lal singing 'Chandan Hai Is Desh Ki Mati, Tapo Bhumi Har Gram Hai.' The event was attended by Governors Bandaru Dattatreya of Haryana and Banwarilal Purohit of Punjab, along with other dignitaries.

Home Minister Anil Vij emphasized the significance of maintaining purity in temples, calling for a collective effort to clean and sanctify temples across different regions. He urged devotees to refrain from consuming meat and alcohol until January 22, the day of the Pran Pratishtha ceremony in Ayodhya. Vij acknowledged the sacrifices made by numerous individuals for the liberation of Lord Rama's birthplace and expressed hope that the wishes of the entire nation would be fulfilled on January 22.

CM Manohar Lal, along with leaders from the Vishwa Hindu Parishad, has arranged a program to take approximately 2,000 devotees from the state to Ayodhya for the divine darshan of Lord Rama on February 9 and 10. The upcoming event has garnered widespread anticipation, emphasizing the spiritual significance it holds for the devotees and the nation.
