Prime Minister Narendra Modi delivered an unwavering message against terrorism today, deliberately shifting from Hindi to English during his address in Bihar's Madhubani district to ensure his words reached a global audience.

Speaking at the National Panchayati Raj Day celebrations, the Prime Minister looked directly into the cameras as he declared: "Today, from the soil of Bihar, I say to the whole world, India will identify, track, and punish every terrorist and their backers. We will pursue them to the ends of the Earth."

His resolute statement comes in response to the devastating Pahalgam terror attack on April 22nd that claimed 26 innocent lives – 25 Indians and one Nepali national. Before beginning his address, Modi observed a solemn moment of silence to honor the victims of the tragedy.

"India's spirit will never be broken by terrorism," the Prime Minister asserted, adding that "terrorism will not go unpunished." He acknowledged the international support India has received following the attack, stating, "Every effort will be made to ensure justice is done. The entire nation is firm in this resolve. Everyone who believes in humanity is with us."

The speech follows India's announcement of significant diplomatic measures against Pakistan, including the suspension of the Indus Waters Treaty and reduction of Pakistan's diplomatic presence in New Delhi.

By delivering key portions of his message in English, Modi clearly signaled India's intention to communicate directly with the international community, emphasizing the nation's commitment to global cooperation in combating terrorism.

MEA spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal later amplified the Prime Minister's message by sharing his words on social media: "Terrorism will not go unpunished. Every effort will be made to ensure that justice is done. The entire nation is firm in this resolve."
