In a significant development for Haryana's entertainment sector, Chief Minister Nayab Saini announced on Saturday that the state will establish a major film city in Pinjore, located in Panchkula district.

CM Saini revealed that the film city will be constructed on a 100-acre plot of land that has already been identified for the purpose. The Chief Minister emphasized that the government plans to begin construction work as soon as possible.

"This initiative has been taken to support artists and promote the film industry in our state," said CM Saini while addressing the media. He further explained that the project would serve multiple purposes beyond just creating a hub for filmmaking.

The film city is expected to benefit professionals connected to the film industry by providing state-of-the-art facilities for production, post-production, and other film-related activities. More importantly, it will generate substantial employment opportunities for the people of Haryana, from technical roles to support services.

The strategic location of Pinjore, which is easily accessible from Chandigarh and offers scenic backdrops with its proximity to the Shivalik hills, makes it an ideal choice. Industry experts believe this could potentially transform the region into a significant center for film and television production in North India.

With this announcement, Haryana joins other states like Uttar Pradesh and Maharashtra that have made similar investments in film infrastructure to attract production houses and boost their local entertainment industries.
