Former world champion boxer Saweety Boora has been hospitalized after her health deteriorated on Wednesday. According to reports, Boora suffered a panic attack in the morning and was immediately taken to a hospital for treatment.
The hospitalization comes amid an escalating public dispute between Boora and her husband, former Indian kabaddi team captain Deepak Hooda. The conflict between the high-profile sports couple has intensified in recent days, especially after a video showing their confrontation at a women's police station went viral.
Previous Confrontation and Allegations
Days before her hospitalization, a video surfaced showing Boora physically confronting Hooda at a police station. In her defense, Boora claimed, "Deepak provoked me. I didn't assault him. He has threatened to kill me. He provoked me. I've started having panic attacks." She emotionally added, "If I die, will he be hanged for it?"
Boora has also leveled serious accusations against the Hisar Superintendent of Police, claiming collusion with her husband. "I'm being deliberately portrayed as violent, when it was Deepak who used to physically abuse me. He called me to show a video," she alleged.
Claims of Evidence Tampering
The boxer has alleged that the released video was edited to portray her negatively. "The beginning and end portions of the video are missing, where Deepak was hurling abuses at me. The part where I had a panic attack was also edited out," she claimed during a recent press conference.
According to Boora, "The public release of this selectively edited video proves the Hisar SP is working with Deepak."
False Cases Against Family Members
Boora has also accused Hooda of filing false cases against her family members. "Deepak has named my father and uncle in an FIR even though the viral video clearly shows they never approached him. My uncle was actually trying to stop me," she explained.
She added that despite this visual evidence, "Deepak got a false medical report and named my uncle and father in the FIR, claiming injuries I never caused."
Plea for Divorce
In an emotional appeal, Boora questioned why her husband refuses to grant her a divorce. "If I'm such a bad person, why won't my husband divorce me? That's all I'm asking for. I haven't demanded any property or money from him," she said with folded hands.
"A person only stays with someone when they're good. If I'm not good, why does Deepak Hooda want to stay with me? I've only asked him to give me a divorce, I don't want anything else," Boora stated.
As her health condition continues to be monitored, the public dispute between the two sports personalities shows no signs of resolution.
