Boxing Champion Sweety Boora's Husband Files Fraud Case Against Her

Husband Deepak Hooda Accuses Boxing Star and Her Family of Property Fraud and Cash Theft; Claims Family Tricked Him Into Joint Property Registration While Already Facing Domestic Violence Charges.

Sweety Boora and her Husband Deepak Hooda

Haryana 's Champion boxer Sweety Boora is now facing serious legal troubles as her husband has filed a fraud case against her in Rohtak, Haryana. Deepak Hooda has accused Sweety and her family members of seizing his property and cash through deception.

Hooda had filed a complaint with the Rohtak SP, who subsequently directed police to investigate the matter. However, police officials have remained tight-lipped about the case so far. This development comes after Sweety had already filed a case against Deepak in Hisar, accusing him of demanding dowry and committing domestic violence.

Property Fraud and Financial Deception

In his police complaint, Deepak Hooda stated that he married Sweety on July 7, 2022, though they had been in a live-in relationship since 2015. He claimed he had regular interactions with her family during this time. According to Deepak, "Her parents had their eyes on my property from the beginning."

Deepak alleged that he purchased a plot in Sector 1-4 in Hisar and paid for it entirely himself. "They convinced me to tell the bank that any large payments from my account should be made as per their instructions," he stated. Subsequently, the plot payment was first transferred to Sweety Boora and her mother Suresh Kumari's accounts before being sent to the property seller.

"They took ₹25 lakh in cash from me under false pretenses, claiming additional payments were needed," Deepak said. "It was all a conspiracy to get the plot registered jointly in my and Sweety's names instead of just mine. Sweety wasn't even present during the registration."

Family's Financial Exploitation

Deepak has made serious allegations against Sweety's entire family. "Sweety's father Mahendra Boora swindled lakhs of rupees from me under the pretext of lending it on interest," he claimed. "Her brother took ₹12 lakh that was kept at my home. When I objected, Sweety's parents said he needed the money urgently and would return it soon. I never got that money back."

He further alleged that Sweety's sister CV Boora also tricked him out of approximately ₹9 lakh by claiming it was needed for a championship.

Troubled Marriage and Alleged Violence

The complaint paints a picture of a troubled marriage. Deepak claimed Sweety would create conflicts at home for various reasons. "Once, after a minor argument, she attacked me with a knife, requiring stitches. Another time, she attacked me while I was sleeping, splitting my head open," he alleged.

When he sent photos of his injuries to Sweety's mother, she reportedly dismissed the issue, saying, "Such things happen in marriages. Our daughter is like this—if you want to keep this marriage, you'll have to deal with it."

Arjun Award and Departure

According to Deepak, he helped advance Sweety's boxing career after their marriage, but she eventually quit the sport. The situation took a decisive turn when Sweety received the prestigious Arjun Award on December 17, 2024. Shortly after, on January 25, she left their home with her sister CV Boora.

"When I went to her house on February 9 to reconcile, I was met with abuse and threats," Deepak claimed. The Rohtak SP has ordered an investigation into Deepak's allegations, though police have not yet made any public statements about the case progress.
