
Ranbir Singh Gangwa's story starts in a small village called Gangwa in Hisar district. Born on March 4, 1964, to Rajaram and Kesar Devi, he grew up with first hand understanding of the daily challenges of village life . Today, as a minister, these early experiences shape his vision for developing Haryana's villages. Married to Anguri Devi and father of two sons, Gangwa has maintained his strong connection with rural life even as he rose in politics.
Political Journey
Beginning his career with the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD), he served as a Rajya Sabha MP from 2010 to 2014. He was elected as a member of Haryana Legislative Assembly in 2014 after beating sitting MLA and then minister Sampat Singh and Jasma Devi w/o former chief minister Bhajan Lal. His pivotal shift to the BJP before the 2019 general elections marked a new chapter in his career. Gangwa won Assembly elections in 2019 from Nalwa constituency and served as the Deputy Speaker of Haryana Legislative Assembly till 2024. In the 2024 elections, people of Barwala showed their trust in him with a big win with nearly half of all votes casted in his favour. This victory led to his current role as Cabinet Minister in Nayab Singh Saini 's government.
Building Better Villages
As the minister in charge of Public Health Engineering and Public Works, Gangwa is focused on making village life better. His main project is the Haryana Swaran Jayanti Mahagram Yojana, which aims to give villages modern facilities. The work includes:
- Setting up better water supply systems
- Building stronger roads that last through all seasons
- Creating proper drainage systems
- Bringing internet connectivity to villages
- Installing solar-powered street lights
More Than Just Buildings
Gangwa believes that development isn't just about constructing buildings. His department runs several programs to help village communities like Training centers where young people learn new skills, programs are organised in villages to help people in learing the methods of saving water. Various hjealth awareness campaigns are being run in village to spread awareness and number of projects have been started where villagers help in maintaining public facilities. Special focus has been laid on areas which require extra amount of attention.
Looking Ahead
Gangwa has big plans for Haryana's villages. He wants to create 'smart villages' that have city-like facilities but keep their village character. The focus remains on sustainable development, with special emphasis on

Minister Gangwa 's understanding of both village life and modern living encourages him in bringing positive changes to rural Haryana.
