Haryana daughter 's Ramita Jindal has set a new benchmark in shooting at 38th National Games at the Trishul Shooting Arena in Maharana Pratap Sports College, Raipur, Dehradun, Uttarakhand. While Competing in the Women's 10m Air Rifle qualification event, Jindal scored an impressive 634.9 points, breaking the Paris 2024 Olympic record of 634.5 held by Korea's Ban Hyojin.

This achievement not only secured her top position in qualification but also set a new benchmark at the Olympic level. Jindal's achievement is the highlight of the competition along with other outstanding performances of shooters.

Early Life and Education

Ramita was born on January 16, 2004 and emerged as one of India's most promising shooting talents. Ramita Jindal is pursuing her studies at Hansraj College, Delhi University and exemplifies the perfect balance between academic and sporting excellence.

Before her recent National Games triumph, Jindal had already made her mark on the international stage. At the 2022 Asian Games, she secured two medals - a silver in the women's 10 metre air rifle team event and a bronze in the individual category, establishing herself as a consistent performer at the highest level.

Ramita 's ability to perform at such events along with managing her college studies demonstrates dedication and time management skills.
