In a proactive move towards enhancing public service delivery, Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar has issued directives to expedite the resolution of complaints and suggestions received through the Jan Samvad portal. Chairing a review meeting at his residence, Sant Kabir Kutir, on Friday, the Chief Minister underscored the significance of the Jan Samvad initiative in gathering feedback on government schemes directly from the grassroots level.
The Jan Samvad program serves as a crucial platform for citizens to voice their concerns and provide valuable input on various government initiatives. During the meeting, Chief Minister Khattar scrutinised the progress of programs implemented across the state, focusing on key areas. Administrative secretaries from five pivotal departments—Food Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Revenue and Disaster Management, Transport, Climate, Forest and Wildlife, and Women and Child Development—presented comprehensive progress reports related to their respective domains.
Responding to a specific complaint lodged by a resident of Ward 5 in Panipat regarding the delayed delivery of ration at a depot, Chief Minister Khattar took immediate action. He personally contacted the complainant to inquire about the situation, demonstrating a hands-on approach to addressing public grievances. Subsequently, Khattar directed concerned officers to ensure the prompt and timely delivery of ration to the specified depot, reaffirming the government's commitment to efficient service delivery.
Emphasising that the government's objective extends beyond merely informing citizens about its schemes, Chief Minister Khattar articulated the need to ensure that every deserving individual reaps the benefits of these initiatives. He urged administrative officers to work diligently, underscoring the importance of accountability in the delivery of public services.
The Chief Minister's directive to streamline the resolution of public grievances through the Jan Samvad portal reflects a commitment to citizen-centric governance and responsiveness to the needs of the people. By leveraging technology and direct communication channels, the Haryana government aims to create a more transparent and accountable administration, ensuring that citizens' voices are heard and their concerns promptly addressed.
