Union Home Minister Amit Shah graced the International Geeta Mahotsav in Kurukshetra, receiving a warm welcome from Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar. The event, held at Purushottampur of Brahma Sarovar, included the lighting of the lamp by Amit Shah and the participation of numerous saints and mahatmas, including Swami Ramdev, Swami Gyananand, and Swami Avdeshanand.

Geeta's Universal Relevance:

Amit Shah highlighted the universal relevance of the teachings of Geeta, emphasising that even after 75 years of independence, saints and mahatmas continue to propagate its wisdom. Geeta, he said, provides solutions to life's challenges, with Lord Shri Krishna imparting its knowledge to address Arjun's doubts.

Geeta Mahotsav on the Global Stage:

The Home Minister acknowledged Prime Minister Modi's vision in organising Geeta Mahotsav at the international level since 2016. He emphasised the global dissemination of Geeta's wisdom over the last seven years, with the Bharatiya Janata Party promoting the rich culture of India.

Contributions of Modi-Shah Duo:

CM Manohar Lal praised the efforts of Prime Minister Modi and Home Minister Amit Shah in eliminating remnants of slavery from the country since 2014. He cited removing Article 370 in Jammu and Kashmir and the abolition of the triple talaq law as steps towards national unity and secularism.

Geeta as the Music of Life:

Swami Ramdev underscored the significance of Geeta as the "music of life" encompassing Karmayoga, Bhakti Yoga, and self-control. He commended the role of saints and mahatmas in reshaping the country's destiny. Swami Ramdev also lauded Amit Shah for embodying humility and bravery, as mentioned in the scriptures.
