India has done very well at the Paris Paralympics 2024. India won 20 medals, which is more than they ever won before. This is our best performance ever at the Paralympics. The medals India won are:

  • 2 gold medals
  • 7 silver medals
  • 11 bronze medals

These medals were won in different sports:

  • Shooting
  • Athletics (running, jumping, throwing)
  • Badminton
  • Archery

Some of the best performances were:

1. Avani Lekhara won a gold medal in shooting. She won the same event in the last Paralympics too.

2. Preethi Pal won two bronze medals in running events. These were India's first-ever medals in Paralympic running events.

3. Sumit Antil won a gold medal in javelin throw. He also broke the world record many times during the event.

4. For the first time, Indian women won medals in badminton at the Paralympics.

5. Sheetal Devi, who is only 17 years old, became the youngest Indian to win a Paralympic medal. She won a bronze medal in archery with her teammate.

This great performance shows that Indian para-athletes are doing very well in international sports. It's a proud moment for the country.
