Indian wrestler Vinesh Phogat recently met with former Chief Minister and Congress leader Bhupinder Singh Hooda. This meeting happened at Hooda's house on August 23. When people saw a picture of this meeting online, they started wondering if Phogat might join the Congress party. This is especially interesting because there's an election coming up in Haryana on October 1.

Hooda, who used to be the Chief Minister of Haryana, talked about Phogat after the meeting. He said that athletes don't belong to just one political party - they belong to the whole country. He didn't say for sure if Phogat was joining his party, but he did say they welcome anyone who wants to join.

Hooda then said something important about Phogat. He thinks she should be given a special honor, just like famous cricket player Sachin Tendulkar. Tendulkar was made a member of the Rajya Sabha, which is a part of India's parliament. Hooda believes Phogat deserves the same honor.

He also said that Phogat hasn't been treated fairly. The government gave her a silver medal honor, but Hooda thinks she deserves a gold medal honor. He feels that nominating her to the Rajya Sabha would be a good way to recognize her achievements.

This meeting and Hooda's comments have made people curious about what Phogat might do next. While it's not clear if she will join politics or not, it shows that sports stars are being seen as potential political figures in India.
