The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in Haryana has taken a big step towards the upcoming state elections. After two days of talks, the party's state selection committee has made a list of possible candidates for all 90 Assembly seats. This list will now go to the party's top leaders in Delhi for the final decision.
Chief Minister's Seat Still Undecided
The committee has kept three seats open for Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini. These seats are Ladwa, Karnal, and Naraingarh. The party's top leaders will decide which seat Saini will run from. This shows that the party wants to be careful about where their top leader will contest.
Changes and Challenges
While most current BJP MLAs and ministers are on the list, some might not get tickets this time. The committee has suggested 3 to 5 names for each seat where the candidate is not yet clear. This means there could be some new faces in the upcoming elections.
The party is facing some challenges too. In the Ahirwal region, an important leader, Rao Inderjit Singh, didn't ask for a ticket for his daughter Arti Rao. This surprised many people because earlier he had talked about wanting her to run in the elections.
Another problem came up when a senior party member, Sudha Yadav, complained about a former minister, Rao Narbir. Narbir had said in a public meeting that people would vote for candidates, not just for the BJP. This has caused some worry in the party.
Focus on Difficult Areas
The BJP is also thinking hard about who to field in Nuh, an area where the Congress party is strong. They are considering whether to choose a candidate from the Meo community or a Hindu candidate. This shows that the party is trying to win in areas where it has been weak before.
The BJP hopes that by finalizing this list early, their candidates will have more time to campaign. This could give them an advantage in the elections. Now, everyone is waiting to see what changes the top leaders in Delhi might make to this list before it becomes final.
