Chiranjeev's Big Claim
Chiranjeev Rao, a first-time MLA from Rewari, has made a big claim - he wants to be Haryana's Deputy CM if Congress wins the upcoming assembly polls. He says his political lineage and experience as a dedicated party worker make him worthy of the post. Chiranjeev is confident that Congress will win the polls and is already preparing for his new role.
A Family Legacy
Chiranjeev comes from a political family. His father, Capt Ajay Singh Yadav, is a Congress veteran and OBC cell chairman. His grandfather, Rao Abhay Singh, was a three-time MLA from Rewari. Chiranjeev has been an active leader of the Youth Congress and is a close associate of Rahul Gandhi. He has been involved in politics since his student days and has risen through the ranks in the party.
Ahirwal's Promising Leader
Chiranjeev has emerged as a promising young Ahir leader in the past five years. He says it's high time his family gets its due for serving the party and people for three generations. He believes he can serve the OBC community and Ahirwal better as Deputy CM, which has been ignored in the past 10 years. Chiranjeev promises to work tirelessly for the development of Ahirwal and to address the issues faced by the OBC community.
Challenges Ahead
However, Chiranjeev's demand has rattled the Hooda faction in the Congress, owing to well-known differences between his father and Hooda. Captain Yadav was denied the ticket in 2024, which was eventually given to Raj Babbar, who lost. Despite these challenges, Chiranjeev is confident that he will get the support of the party and the people.
