Anil Vij, the former Home Minister of Haryana, has thrown a challenge at Rahul Gandhi, the Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, to contest the Ambala assembly election. Vij claimed that Rahul's popularity is an illusion and he will prove it by defeating him in the election. Vij said that Rahul thinks he is very popular, but he should contest the election against him to know his actual popularity. Vij also slammed Rahul for demanding more compensation for the families of the victims of the Hathras tragedy, saying that the government is already investigating the matter and will provide compensation according to the rules.

Vij's challenge to Rahul comes after Rahul's statement in Ahmedabad, where he said that the BJP will lose the upcoming elections in Gujarat just like they lost in Ayodhya. Vij said that Rahul is mistaken about his popularity and he will prove it by defeating him in the election. Vij also said that the government is serious about the Hathras tragedy and a committee has been formed to investigate the matter.

Vij's challenge to Rahul has created a buzz in the political circles, and it remains to be seen whether Rahul will accept the challenge or not. The Ambala assembly election is likely to be a high-stakes election, with both the BJP and the Congress gearing up for a tough fight. The election is expected to be a litmus test for both parties, and the outcome will have significant implications for the political landscape of Haryana.

In a press conference in Ambala, Vij said, "Rahul Gandhi thinks he is very popular, but he should contest the election against me to know his actual popularity. I challenge him to contest the Ambala assembly election, and let's see who wins." Vij also said, "The government is serious about the Hathras tragedy, and a committee has been formed to investigate the matter. We will provide compensation to the families of the victims according to the rules."

Rahul Gandhi has not yet responded to Vij's challenge, but it is expected that he will respond soon. The Congress party has also not commented on Vij's challenge, but it is likely that they will support Rahul in the election. The BJP, on the other hand, has welcomed Vij's challenge and said that they are confident of winning the election.
