For the fourth consecutive day, farmers' protest at Shambhu border in Patiala district halts rail services, resulting in the cancellation of 54 trains on the Ambala-Amritsar route. The protest, demanding the release of three arrested farmers by Haryana Police, has affected the movement of 380 trains over the last three days, causing inconvenience to passengers.

Led by Samyukta Kisan Morcha (Non-Political) and Kisan Mazdoor Morcha (KMM), protestors have been squatting on railway tracks since Wednesday. Farmer leader Sarwan Singh Pandher asserts the protest will continue until the farmers are released.

This agitation is part of the ongoing 'Delhi Chalo' march, where farmers demand legal assurance of Minimum Support Price (MSP) for crops. Since February 13, farmers have been stationed at Shambhu and Khanauri border points between Punjab and Haryana, after their march to Delhi was halted by security forces.
