In Haryana Central University, there was a very upsetting incident over the past two days. A group of people who are not students caused trouble and violence on the campus. This has left the students feeling very shocked and angry.
On the night of April 9th, around 8:45 PM, some people who are not students entered the university campus and attacked a group of students, both boys and girls. The students were able to catch one of the attackers. But the university security and administration did not do anything to help the students. The next day, the students protested about this incident and the lack of security. When they were protesting peacefully, the police were called. The police used force against the students and even threatened them with weapons.
The students continued to protest the next day against how the university handled the situation. Some students from the Law Department blocked the protesting students at the gate. They pushed and manhandled the students, especially the female students. The student organisation ABVP has strongly criticised this whole incident. They say that a female student was even kicked in the stomach, and those trying to help her had their hair pulled.
The students are demanding that the university takes strict action against those involved in the violence. They also want the university to improve security on the campus to prevent such incidents in the future. The students are very upset and want justice. They say the university administration needs to address their concerns to restore a sense of safety on the campus.
