Kurukshetra University Achieves Historic A++ Rating from NAAC

Kurukshetra University, Haryana, proudly received the prestigious A++ grade certificate from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) on Wednesday, marking a significant milestone in its academic journey.

The university, led by Vice-Chancellor Professor Som Nath Sachdeva, achieved an impressive score of 3.56 in the recent fourth cycle assessment, making it the first state government university in Haryana to attain the esteemed A++ rating. 

Expressing elation over this achievement, Professor Brajesh Sawhney, Director of Public Relations at Kurukshetra University, highlighted the institution's commitment to excellence and innovation in academia. Acknowledging the challenges faced upon assuming office three years ago, Vice-Chancellor Professor Sachdeva emphasised the university's dedication to fostering an environment conducive to intellectual growth and research advancement. 

Under his leadership, Kurukshetra University has not only excelled in academic pursuits but has also made significant strides in innovation, with 63 patents filed, 43 published, and 18 granted to date. These achievements underscore the university's commitment to promoting research and innovation among its faculty and students. 

Furthermore, Professor Sachdeva lauded the university's outstanding performance in sports and cultural activities, demonstrating its holistic approach to education and overall development of students.

The A++ grade certification, valid from February 2024 to January 2031, places Kurukshetra University among the elite group of eight universities nationwide to achieve this distinction out of 480 state universities in India. This recognition reaffirms Kurukshetra University's position as a leader in higher education and sets a benchmark for other institutions to strive for excellence in academic and research endeavours.
