In a significant development, the Kaithal District Bar Association has thrown its weight behind the 'Haryana Banao Abhiyan', a grassroots campaign advocating for a separate capital and High Court within the state's territory.

Partap Singh, a prominent member of the Bar Council of India (BCI), emphasised the pressing need for Haryana to have its own administrative and judicial hubs. "The absence of a separate capital and High Court for the past 57 years has hindered the state's progress," Singh remarked.

Randhir Singh Badhran, former chairman of the Bar Council of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh, and convener of the campaign, echoed Singh's sentiments, underscoring the campaign's mission to raise awareness and garner public support for state autonomy. "We launched this campaign last year to sensitize the community and garner public opinion," Badhran stated, expressing satisfaction at the campaign's growing traction.

Badhran further elucidated the campaign's strategy, noting, "We have already submitted our demands to all MPs, MLAs, and ministers of Haryana. We will soon send them to Union Home Minister Amit Shah as well." He highlighted the campaign's extensive outreach efforts, which have included seminars held in various districts across the state.

The 'Haryana Banao Abhiyan' is a vital initiative aimed at safeguarding the rights of Haryana residents," affirmed Badhran, stressing the importance of state-specific governance structures. The campaign's demand for a separate capital and High Court reflects a broader sentiment within the state's populace, seeking greater autonomy and representation.

The movement has garnered widespread support from advocates, retired bureaucrats, professors, and citizens alike. "We are getting good responses from every section of society," Badhran attested, signaling a groundswell of momentum behind the campaign's objectives.

With seminars already held in several districts, including Panchkula, Yamunanagar, and Gurugram, the campaign's organizers remain steadfast in their commitment to covering all regions of Haryana. Their tireless efforts underscore a collective determination to realize the state's aspirations for self-governance and judicial autonomy.

As the 'Haryana Banao Abhiyan' gains momentum, its advocates continue to champion the cause of statehood and equitable representation, echoing the sentiments of countless Haryana residents yearning for greater autonomy and institutional empowerment.
