Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar expressed disapproval of the method adopted by farmers in their bid to march to Delhi, likening it to an army's offensive. Khattar highlighted the use of tractor-trolleys and earth-movers by farmers, equating their movement to a military operation.

Khattar emphasized his objection to the farmers' approach, stating that while they have the right to travel to Delhi, their mode of transportation, primarily using agricultural equipment like tractors, is unconventional. He suggested utilizing trains, buses, or personal vehicles instead.

The farmers, predominantly from Punjab, have been stationed at the Shambhu and Khanauri border points, demanding the acceptance of their grievances by the Centre. They have refrained from advancing towards Delhi until a meeting with the government yields tangible results.

Referring to the previous farmers' agitation against the now-repealed farm laws, Khattar recalled the year-long encampment at Tikri and Singhu borders, which caused inconvenience to many. He cited videos of concerns raised by individuals regarding the potential negative impact on businesses due to the ongoing protests.

In response to queries regarding the recent meeting between three union ministers and farmer representatives in Chandigarh, Khattar expressed optimism about finding a resolution. He emphasised the importance of a democratic approach and urged consideration of motives and methods in addressing grievances.

Khattar reiterated that while everyone has the democratic right to visit the national capital, the manner and intent behind such movements must be carefully considered. As discussions continue between the government and farmers, hopes remain high for a mutually agreeable solution to the ongoing impasse.
