Singnificant development clocking in from the Chief Minister's office in Chandigarh. Superseding previous directives issued on 03.02.2023 and 16.3.2023; the roles for officers have been re-assigned. As per sources; here is the detailed breakdown of the newly assigned roles: 

Sh. Rajesh Khullar, IAS (Retd.) - CPSCM: 

Chief Principal secretary to CM has been assigned the overall in charge of CM’s office, CM office‘s estt. and other subjects that are not allotted to any other officer and the detailed responsibilities are as follows:

  1. All matters relating to legislative Business, including legislative, proposals, taken before council of ministers and issue of ordinances, Parliamentary affairs, law and legislative
  2. Architecture
  3. Administration of Justice
  4. Citizen Resource Information
  5. Excise and Taxation
  6. Energy
  7. Foreign cooperation
  8. General Administration, Personnel and Training, Hospitality, and Vigilance
  9. Home Criminal Investigation
  10. Industries and Commerce
  11. Information, Public Relations, Language and Culture
  12. Jails
  13. Public Health Engineering
  14. Public works(B&R) 
  15. Rehabilitation
  16. Revenue and Disaster Management 
  17. Town and Country Planning and Urban Estates 

 

Sh. V. Umashankar, IAS - PSCM: 

Tasks include oversight of civil aviation, cooperation, finance, planning, social justice, transportation, and urban development initiatives, focusing on youth empowerment and entrepreneurship. Detailed list of responsibilities-

  1. Civil Aviation
  2. Co-operation
  3. Development and Panchayats
  4. Finance,Institutional Finance and Credit Control
  5. Mines and Geology
  6. Planning
  7. Social Justice,Empowerment,Welfare of SCs and BCs and Antodaya(SEWA)

Sh. Devender Singh, IAS (Retd.) - Advisor (Irrigation) to CM: 

  1. Irrigation and Water Resources 
  2. Works related to implementation of CM's announcements
  3. Monitoring the performance of various departments under CM Window. 

 

Sh. Amit Kumar, IAS - APSCM: 

Manages archives, environment, health, tourism, and education portfolios, including heritage preservation and medical research, under the Kurukshetra Development Board. Detailed list of responsibilities:

  1. Archives

  3. Environment,Forests and Wildlife 
  4. Health 
  5. Heritage and Tourism

Smt. Ashima Brar, IAS - APSCM: 

Oversees agriculture, elections, housing, labour, and welfare schemes for women, children, and armed forces personnel, emphasising food security and consumer rights. Detailed list of responsibilities:

  2.  Animal Husbandry and Dairying
  3. Elections 
  4. Fisheries
  5. Food,Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs 
  6. Housing for All

Sh. Bhupeshwar Dayal - OSD/CM (BD): 

Addresses grievances and manages the CM Window, ensuring prompt resolution of citizen concerns and feedback mechanisms. 

 

Sh. Sudhanshu Gautam, HCS - OSD/CM: 

Handles government house allotments, relief fund disbursements, human resource development, and online policy implementations, ensuring transparent governance practices.Detailed list of responsibilities- 

  1. Allotment of Government Houses(except Type-V,Panchkula)
  2. CM Announcements
  3. CM Relief Fund
  4. HRDF and Other Sanctions
  5. HRMS and Online Transfer Policy
  6. Wakf
