Haryana's Home Minister, Anil Vij, took aim at the Congress regarding the Ram Mandir, claiming they demonstrated their true colours by rejecting the welcome ceremony. Vij asserted that even if they worship Lord Ram day and night, their refusal to participate in the celebration revealed their arrogance. He highlighted the historic event of avenging Babar's demolition of the Ram Janmabhoomi, stating that the entire nation witnessed it. Vij, during an event in Ambala, stated that the public showed immense enthusiasm for the Pran Pratishtha Diwas, surpassing even Diwali celebrations.
He mocked the opposition, suggesting they are now only controlling damage as Independence Day should have occurred immediately after a prolonged struggle. Vij also criticised the Congress's stand on the naming of public spaces, asserting that while the nation typically names places after the Gandhi-Nehru family, they chose to honour Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose in Ambala. He emphasised Bose's significant contribution to India's independence, stating that his armed struggle against the British set him apart. Vij appreciated the park named after Bose in Ambala and revealed that they gather annually to celebrate his birthday.
The Home Minister concluded by acknowledging Bose's unmatched role in liberating Andaman and Nicobar Islands, and reflecting on how the nation remembers him today. He speculated about Bose's hypothetical influence on India's post-independence trajectory, suggesting the country might have taken a different course under his leadership. Vij highlighted that Bose's fate remains unknown, but his impact on India's freedom struggle was unparalleled. The event concluded with Vij's tribute to Bose, emphasising the profound impact he had on shaping India's destiny.
