Police have arrested eight individuals across three states on charges of espionage for Pakistan.

Police have arrested eight individuals across three states on charges of espionage for Pakistan following the Pahalgam terror attack. The arrests, spanning Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh, came amid heightened security measures and increased surveillance operations.

Among those apprehended is Jyoti Malhotra, a travel vlogger from Hisar, Haryana, who operates the YouTube channel "Travel with JO." Authorities allege she shared sensitive military information with Pakistani handlers and had visited Pakistan twice. Investigators are examining her connections with the Pakistan High Commission and scrutinizing her financial transactions.

Davender Singh Dhillon, a 25-year-old student from Khalsa College in Patiala, Punjab, was arrested in Kaithal, Haryana. Police discovered photographs of firearms on his Facebook profile, and during interrogation, learned he had traveled to Pakistan and shared images of an Indian army area.

Nauman Ilahi, a security guard from Panipat, Haryana (originally from UP), allegedly provided information to a Pakistani spy and received payment through his brother-in-law. Arman from Nuh, Haryana, was arrested following intelligence inputs for transmitting sensitive information across the border.

In Uttar Pradesh, businessman Shahzad from Rampur was detained by the Special Task Force. He reportedly made multiple trips to Pakistan and stands accused of smuggling activities alongside espionage.

The remaining suspects include Mohammad Murtaza Ali, apprehended by Gujarat Police in Jalandhar, Punjab, who allegedly used a self-developed mobile application to share intelligence, and the duo of Gazala and Yamin Mohammad, arrested in Punjab on similar charges.
