The fraudulent CET notice went viral on Monday night claiming that the online registration process for one-time registration would begin on May 2, sending millions of anxious candidates into a frenzy.
The Haryana Staff Selection Commission (HSSC) is responsible for conducting the Common Eligibility Test for recruitment to Group C and Group D positions in government departments. With lakhs of youth eagerly awaiting this examination, the viral fake notification prompted Commission Chairman Himmat Singh to issue an official clarification.
"The notification circulating about CET-2025 is completely false," Singh stated emphatically. "Please do not trust this misleading information. The Commission will soon publish the authentic notification on its official website." He advised candidates to regularly check the HSSC's official portal for legitimate updates.
Singh acknowledged the long wait candidates have endured: "We understand that many of you have been patiently waiting for this opportunity for a considerable time. I assure you that this extended waiting period will soon come to an end."
According to sources within the Commission, the upcoming CET is expected to draw unprecedented participation with over 40 lakh youth likely to apply. Approximately 17 lakh candidates are anticipated to appear for Group D positions, while around 14 lakh will compete for Group C vacancies.
Inside reports suggest that the official notification may be released in the first week of May, with the examination potentially scheduled for the last week of the same month. The HSSC has emphasized that candidates should rely solely on information published through official channels to avoid falling victim to misinformation.
This incident highlights the desperation among Haryana's youth for government employment opportunities, making them vulnerable to misleading information in their eagerness to secure their future careers.
