Congress has initiated a strategic nationwide campaign titled "Congress Satya, BJP Jhooth" (Congress Truth, BJP Lies) to counter allegations in the National Herald case. The campaign, running from April 21 to 24, will feature 57 leaders conducting press conferences across 57 cities throughout India.
Pawan Khera, head of Congress' media and publicity department, announced the campaign on Sunday, releasing a list of prominent leaders who will participate. The lineup includes major party figures such as Manikar Tagore, Gaurav Gogoi, P. Chidambaram, Supriya Shrinate, Ashok Gehlot, Shashi Tharoor, Bhupesh Baghel, and Kanhaiya Kumar.
Haryana will be represented by four significant Congress leaders: Deepender Hooda, Kumari Selja, Randeep Singh Surjewala, and Mahima Singh. Advocate Mahima Singh from Kurukshetra, granddaughter of former minister Ran Singh, is among the selected representatives.
The campaign responds to the Enforcement Directorate filing a chargesheet against Sonia Gandhi and Rahul Gandhi in an alleged money laundering case related to National Herald. Congress aims to counter BJP's intensifying attacks by presenting what they describe as "the truth before everyone" while exposing "BJP's lies" around the case.
