Four-Time MLA Rao Narbir Singh Reflects on Political Journey: "People Later Liked My Work and Elected Me Four Times"

Haryana Cabinet Minister Rao Narbir Singh made surprisingly candid remarks about his political career, describing himself as an "accidental politician" who initially benefited from family connections rather than personal achievement.

During a Sunday night TV interview in Gurugram, the Badshahpur MLA admitted: "I come from a political family. At a young age when I hadn't accomplished anything, people made me an MLA at 26 based on my father and grandfather's reputation. I became a minister in the government at that time."

The four-time MLA and minister continued, "At 26, I hadn't done any work, yet I received votes because of my elders. Later, people liked my work and elected me four times. It's my good fortune that I became a minister all four times."

In the same interview, Singh took a strong stance against Manesar Mayor Dr. Indrajit Yadav potentially joining the BJP, calling him a "criminal" whose ideology doesn't align with the party. "This is my personal opinion. If asked, I will oppose his joining," Singh stated, referencing previous concerns about Yadav's "criminal background."

Singh praised Chief Minister Nayab Saini as tireless and consistently cheerful, saying: "This man has a special quality - he never gets tired. Even if you meet him at 11 PM, he'll be smiling. You'll never see irritation on Nayab Saini's face; he's always happy. Haryana will progress under his leadership."

His comments follow tensions with Union Minister of State Rao Indrajit Singh, who recently remarked that "the party doesn't belong to one person" and that everyone must accept party decisions regarding new members.
