Amarnath Yatra Registration Begins in Haryana for 2025 Season

Devotees Can Apply Through Four Authorized Banks After Medical Clearance; 39-Day Pilgrimage Starts July 3

Naturally formed Ice Lingam "Baba Barfani,"

Devotees of Lord Shiva are visiting to banks across Haryana as registration for the sacred Amarnath Yatra begins. The Amarnath Shrine Board has authorized four banks in Haryana—PNB, SBI, YES Bank, and J&K Bank—to process applications for this year's pilgrimage.

The 39-day journey to worship the naturally formed ice lingam, known as "Baba Barfani," will run from July 3 to August 9, 2025. Pilgrims can register either online through the official SASB website (jksasb.nic.in) by uploading digital copies of required documents or offline at 39 designated bank branches across the state.

Registration costs ₹150 per person, with an additional ₹100 medical fee. The Shrine Board has outlined specific restrictions: children under 13, adults over 70, and women more than six weeks pregnant are not permitted to undertake the pilgrimage.

Physical preparation is crucial for this challenging journey. Pilgrims are advised to walk at least 6 kilometers daily for 2-3 weeks before departure and practice deep breathing exercises. Those with lung conditions, high blood pressure, or heart disease should consult doctors before planning the trip.

For offline registration, pilgrims must visit one of the authorized branches with their KYC documents and health certificate, making this sacred pilgrimage accessible to devotees across Haryana.
